Life is a Project is an independent personal and editorial project focused on ideas, research and projects. This policy explains what data is collected, for what purpose, and which rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Dutch data-protection law.

What we collect
- Contact form — name, email, organisation (optional) and message. These fields are sent by email and are not shared with third parties.
- Site analytics — if you consent, Google Analytics 4 records anonymised IP, browser, device and pages visited. Without consent, nothing is loaded.
- We do not use advertising cookies, embedded social-media widgets, user accounts or paid subscriptions.
Legal basis
Contact form: consent and pre-contractual necessity (Art. 6(1)(a) / 6(1)(b) GDPR). Analytics: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunicatiewet).
Retention
Contact-form messages are kept for as long as needed to reply and at most 24 months. Analytics data is retained for 14 months.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. You can exercise these rights by writing to ecastros@lifeisaproject.global. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch data-protection authority, Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
International transfers
Google Analytics may process data outside the EEA under the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
